Wed, May 28, 2008 - 3:43 PMMusicality....it is what makes dancing art and entertainment rather than just moving. It is hearing the music and knowing what works with the music. Should this section be flowing, or sharp? for example.
I took the musicality seminar from Turbo Tabla guy (name eludes me at moment) at elevation. I'll be presenting his ideas as well as mine in this workshop.
Basically it is using the music to create magic with movement. How's that sound?

Thu, May 29, 2008 - 10:26 AMYes, I know. When asked by the coordinator if we wanted to dance, I said yes. He said he would be in touch. When I contacted him because I hadn't heard anything, he said, "sorry, we got so many requests we are full" So I've a call in to him and to the exec of updowntowners, for the last week but haven't heard back. I don't think we will be doing it, obviously, but I feel the need to find out what I did or didn't do to get us on the schedule. I assumed when we said yes, that we would be scheduled pending receipt of the paperwork, the paper hadn't come yet, so that's why I called them. This was the way it worked last year, but obviously something has changed, I just don't know what.
So sorry Ladies, there probably won't be any burning of the feet on the stage and getting heat stroke afterwards this year! -
